Autonieer for Revit

Real Revit walls, doors, windows, rooms and levels built from an Autonieer design.

What it does

  • Ribbon tab: sign in, generate, insert, refresh, open in Autonieer
  • Creates levels by elevation, wall types by thickness, walls on their centre-lines
  • Hosts doors and windows at the right offset, width, height and sill; flips them to match the swing
  • Places named rooms; refresh rebuilds only the elements the plugin created (edits made to those elements in Revit are replaced)
  • Team and higher: link the IFC4 export instead

Install

  1. 01Close Revit. Run the installer from the Autodesk App Store, or copy Autonieer.addin and the Autonieer folder into %AppData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>.
  2. 02Start Revit and choose Always Load when asked about the add-in.
  3. 03Open the Autonieer tab and choose Sign in.

Sign in

Choose Sign in: the plugin shows an 8-character code and opens raiwrite.com/autonieer/device in your browser. Check that the code matches, pick the workspace and approve. The plugin only gets the permissions listed on that page, for that one workspace, and you can disconnect it at any time under Settings → Connected apps. Tokens are stored in Windows Credential Manager.

Units and scale

Converted from millimetres to Revit's internal units exactly; project units only change how values are displayed.

Troubleshooting

Doors or windows are missing
Load a door and a window family into the project first; the plugin sizes copies of the first ones it finds.
Walls join oddly at corners
Autonieer walls meet on their centre-lines; use Revit's Join Geometry for special junctions.
