Autonieer for AutoCAD

Native AutoCAD geometry on AIA layers — walls, doors, windows, rooms, dimensions — from any Autonieer design.

In developmentv0.1.0

What it does

  • Commands AUTONIEER (sign in), ANGENERATE (with clarifying questions), ANINSERT, ANREFRESH, ANOPEN and ANSEND (send the drawing to Autonieer)
  • Draws native polylines, hatches, arcs, text and dimensions on A-WALL, A-DOOR, A-GLAZ, A-AREA and the other AIA layers
  • Scales from millimetres to the drawing's INSUNITS automatically
  • Refresh redefines the inserted block with the latest version and keeps its position
  • Pro and higher: insert the DXF export as a block instead

Install

  1. 01Close AutoCAD. Run the installer from the Autodesk App Store, or unzip Autonieer.AutoCAD.bundle into %AppData%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins.
  2. 02Start AutoCAD; the Autonieer commands load automatically.
  3. 03Type AUTONIEER and approve the code in your browser, then ANGENERATE or ANINSERT.
Autodesk App Store — coming soon

A direct download (autonieer-autocad-0.1.0.zip) will be offered here alongside the store listing.

Choose Sign in: the plugin shows an 8-character code and opens raiwrite.com/autonieer/device in your browser. Check that the code matches, pick the workspace and approve. The plugin only gets the permissions listed on that page, for that one workspace, and you can disconnect it at any time under Settings → Connected apps. Tokens are stored in Windows Credential Manager.

Units and scale

Autonieer works in millimetres. The plugin reads INSUNITS and scales the insert, so a 3.6 m wall measures 3600 in a millimetre drawing and 141.73 in an inch drawing.

Troubleshooting

AutoCAD asks whether to load the plugin
Install into %AppData%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins (a trusted location) or add that folder to TRUSTEDPATHS.
The insert looks tiny or huge
Set INSUNITS for the drawing before inserting, then use Refresh.
