Community guidelines

Be helpful, be specific, be kind. Here is what that means in practice — and how we moderate.

What this community is for

A place to ask how to do things in Autonieer, suggest features, report problems and show what you designed. Anyone can read it; posting needs a free Autonieer account with a confirmed email address.

The Autonieer team reads and answers here. Their posts carry a Team badge with their role, and an answer the team stands behind is marked Official answer. Community answers are opinions of the people who wrote them.

Writing a good post

  • Search first — your question may already have an answer.
  • One topic per thread, in the right category, with a title that says what it is about.
  • For bugs: what you did, what you expected, what happened, and your browser. Never paste passwords, API keys or anything private.
  • For ideas: the problem you want solved, not only the solution. Vote for existing ideas instead of repeating them.
  • If an answer solved your question, accept it — it helps the next person.

What is not allowed

  • Spam, advertising, affiliate links and SEO link-building.
  • Harassment, hate, threats, and personal attacks — criticise ideas, not people.
  • Personal data about someone else (addresses, phone numbers, private messages).
  • Illegal content, including content that infringes someone's copyright or trade marks.
  • Impersonating the Autonieer team or another member.
  • Anything that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service.

How moderation works

New posts are checked automatically for spam (links from brand-new accounts, known spam phrases, repeated text; for new accounts we may also use an AI classifier). A post that trips a check is held for review — only you and the moderators see it until a person approves it. Automated checks never delete anything.

Moderators can move, merge, lock, pin or close threads, and remove posts that break these guidelines. Every moderator action is recorded in an internal moderation log with its reason. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to a warning, a temporary suspension, or a ban from posting — you can always still read the community and use Autonieer itself.

You can edit your own post for 30 minutes after posting and delete it at any time. After that, ask a moderator if something needs changing.

If your post is removed

We email you a statement of reasons: what was removed, which rule or law it broke, the facts we relied on, whether automated tools were involved in spotting it, and how to appeal. The thread shows a short “removed by a moderator” note in its place.

Removed content is kept for six months so an appeal can be reviewed, then erased. Deleting your account keeps your posts in the threads they belong to, but they are shown as written by “Deleted user” and are no longer linked to you.

Reporting content

Use Report on any post (in the app) to tell the moderators about spam, abuse or illegal content. If you are not a member, or you are reporting illegal content on behalf of someone else, write to us through the contact form with the link to the post, why you believe it is illegal, and your name and email. We review every notice without undue delay and tell you what we decided.

Appeals

If you disagree with a decision about your post or your account, reply to the email we sent or use the contact form within six months. A person on the team reviews it again — where possible, not the one who made the decision. You may also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body or the courts.
